Module 8: Business Models and Strategic Planning (5 ECTS)

Aim
The aim of the module is to provide students with knowledge on alternative business models and their dynamics as well as the different theoretical positions for strategy and planning.
The module will focus on the importance of the integration between innovation and business models when introducing innovation activities. Similarly, business models will be highlighted as one of the strategic tools that companies and organizations can utilize.

Learning Objectives
Following the successful completion of the module the students will be able to
•    Understand and reflect on business models and strategic management theories and their underlying assumptions
•    Link business model theories and innovation and use tools for business model innovation
•    Formulate business strategies, reflect on their implementation and relate them to business models

Teaching Form
Teaching takes place through literature, lectures, and possibly seminars, business contacts and cases.
